Bleacher Renovations
United Equipment Services Company has been inspecting bleacher systems
for years. After looking under hundreds of bleachers we can tell
you that the NEW bleachers don’t look a whole lot different than
most OLD bleachers when you’re looking at the underside. We realize
the topside may not look like it once did or certainly not look like
the new set you keep getting handed brochures for. Unfortunately
that brochure comes with a big price tag. Maybe the price tag doesn’t
need to be that big? Let us inspect your bleacher system and maybe
the solution is just a renovation of your current bleachers.
Also, are you familiar with NFPA 102 (National Fire Protection Association)
standard for Grandstands, Folding and Telescoping Seating, Tents,
and Membrane Structures? Among other requirements, most notably this
standard requires that there does not exist a gap greater than a
4 inch sphere related to;
- The space between seat-board and foot-board.
- The space between folding and telescoping seating and an adjacent wall.
- The size of vertical openings between guards and seat-boards or foot-boards.
We can help
you address this standard in both indoor and outdoor Seating.
For indoor bleacher systems we can replace the seating system with
new wood planking or seat modules, or possibly refurbish the current
wood planking where it is still structurally sound. Plus, we can
add the following;
- ADA wheelchair spaces with safety rail
- Foot level aisles with non-skid surface, and Intermediate steps
- End safety rails with all openings smaller than 4”
- Aisle safety rails (with self-storing P-rail design)
- Full power, push-button operation
- Closed deck system
For outdoor bleacher systems we can replace old wood planking systems with new aluminum planking and/or add aluminum runs to close down large gaps to become compliant to NFPA 102 standards. We also can address;
- Wheel Chair access with ramps.
- Add end and back railings to reduce fall risks and meet NFPA 102 Standards.
- Understructure deficiencies that can be found in portable systems when moved frequently.
- Replace bent seats planks damaged by students/fans jumping on them.
